Our History

Chesapeake Crab Co. is happily family-owned and operated by John Renzi, along with his wife and children. Blue Crabs, catering, and everywhere in between - we're proud to say we've continuously been in business in DelVal for almost 30 years. If you've lived in the area, you've almost certainly attended an affair catered by our parent business, Renzi's Catering.

We partner with various non-profit organizations to bring the freshest, highest quality Blue Crabs straight up from the Chesapeake Bay to the place we call home. At CCC we get live crabs and new pinch marks every day we're open, from product that was in the water usually only an hour or two prior. Unlike almost anywhere else, we hand sort every crab we get. We take whole lot of pride in ensuring you have the freshest product available, and know you'll taste the difference.

The community venues that host us benefit directly by the proceeds of our sales (and maybe a few to-go bags here and there). Our flagship location is in Garnet Valley adjacent to the Bethel Firehouse.
